Tour Crew Apparel For A Cycle Tour
OBJECTIVE:
Volunteer Cyclists hit the road from June 16-22 to support the mental health services that CASA Mental Health provides for children, youth and families in Alberta.
STRATEGY:
CREATIVE was honoured to partner with CASA to supply the tour crew apparel: a light jacket, mesh caps and Coolcore performance shirts. We were blessed to work with the passionate planning committee and also some really beautiful logos. The Buttercycle logo that was embroidered on the jackets and caps and screened on the tees was created by the late Ben Davidson renowned Haida Gwaii artist.
“The design was originally made to honour all of the children who have passed before their parents. In the wings of the butterfly are the faces of a boy and a girl. The girl has a labret in her lower lip, which is also the eye of the butterfly. The butterfly’s proboscis is also the drop bar of a bike, while the body and legs of the butterfly are the abstract of the bike’s frame and wheels.”
RESULTS:
The 17 person support team worked with the cyclists to ensure a positive and healthy long ride from British Columbia to Alberta. The event was a fabulous success with riders raising over $200,000 for CASA Mental Health!
