UVic Distinguished Alumni Awards Swag Boxes
OBJECTIVE:
The University of Victoria (UVic) and the University of Victoria Alumni Association (UVAA) recognized UVic’s stellar graduates who through their extraordinary endeavours, brought honour to themselves and to their alma mater in a multitude of ways. Through annual awards, UVic and the UVAA celebrated the diverse achievements of alumni and provided an opportunity to share these inspirational stories throughout the year. (Nominations were open until Dec 17, 2021, and Alumni award winners were announced in February 2022).
This year, the Alumni Awards were a VIRTUAL event with the Awards Ceremony streamed into the homes of all the award winners and their invited viewer guests (Held at the University of Victoria in British Columbia on April 7, 2022). All the Award winners (Alumni) and their guests were sent a gorgeous, branded UVic Distinguished Alumni Awards 2022 – THINKERS CHANGERS DIFFERENCE-MAKERS – Custom SWAG Box. Delivered directly to their homes prior to the special event awards night.
STRATEGY:
Inside the branded box was an incredible array of celebratory items to make the evening festivities memorable. Fun, Inclusive and unforgettable – the swag box did not disappoint. Filled with a Celebratory Postcard and custom message, the branded items include a confetti popper, popcorn, m&m’s, and a fabulous drinkware piece (keepsake) – this gift box was a hit!
RESULTS:
The UVIC Alumni Relations team had an influx of positive feedback, with comments on how inclusive the event was and how thoughtful and delightful the SWAG Gift box was. This Virtual event was a huge success – and the Gift Boxes made every award recipient and their friends feel like a celebrity! AS if they were attending a movie premier – no better way to make someone feel special!
