Social Media Contest: Get To Know Your Customer Day

OBJECTIVE:

We had an objective to create a FUN interaction that included an incentive or reward. A social media contest was determined to be an effective way of engaging a targeted audience. A total of 50 clients were specifically targeted with a reach of 250 prospects.

STRATEGY:

We recognized that a contest would be an effective promotion in generating interactions with the targeted audience. In order to increase the engagement we sourced a trendy product called Wraps Wristbands. They were selected as an incentive for participants to not only share but also interact with us on Facebook and Twitter. To create the value in the incentive we provided a YouTube video that professionally showcased the product in action; you can view it at https://youtu.be/QvVLl-e-o64. Additionally, we tied the promotion with a “Get to Know Your Customer Day” event which we believe increased the likelihood of the interactions and sharing. We also created the full color graphics for the post which was a picture of the Wraps Wristband Prizes. The hashtag #GetToKnowYourCustomerDay was used because of the likelihood of it trending on that specific day.

RESULTS:

A total of 428 people were reached with this promotion. There were 93 engagements and a total of 996 impressions were made. This surpassed the goal of the promotion and created some ecstatic winners!
