Alberta Treaty 8 Trappers Association

Cultural Events Swag

OBJECTIVE:

Alberta Treaty 8 Trappers Association is a body that is responsible for ensuring that Indigenous trappers in the Treaty 8 territory are able to preserve their historical traplines. They contacted us because they were looking for new, modern and fresh SWAG that they could use throughout the year at their cultural and community events, such as their Youth Cultural camps.

STRATEGY:

The highlighter pens, mobile tech earbud kits with a cleaning cloth, and USB slap bracelets which were to be distributed at their Youth Cultural camps had “Alberta Treaty 8 Trappers Association” printed on them. These modern and technological items appealed to the young, tech-savvy Indigenous youth of today’s generation and thus, were effective in promoting the Alberta Treaty 8 Trappers Association. One item that was much favored by its recipients was the super-soft Bizzie Beaver plush teddy bear. This cute little teddy bear that was included in the gift bags was the perfect keepsake for long-time employees of the association. And even though the mushroom speakers and the sweatshirt hoodie blankets have not officially been shared yet, it hasn’t stopped the association’s employees from checking them out with heart-shaped eyes!

RESULTS:

All in all, these fun and memorable items were and continue to be a big hit with the association’s members, staff, and cultural event participants. Even the team here at CREATIVE couldn’t steer their gaze away from the adorable Bizzie Beavers and the super cozy sweatshirt hoodie blankets, our personal favorites!
