PIPSC Edmonton Branch logo

Creating And Launching A New Branch Logo

OBJECTIVE:

The Edmonton branch of PIPSC – The Professional Institute of Public Service of Canada was in need of a new, fresh logo that would reflect the group’s location and individuality. The new logo needed to stand out from all the other regional branch logos and needed to convey the association to PIPSC.

STRATEGY:

The Project Creator, Lisa, and our Creative Director, Anna, sat down with the client to chat and learn about the needs and vision of the group. The main request for the branch logo was that it needed to represent Edmonton by using a rendering of our city’s downtown skyline. The challenge was that it also needed to include the name and still be clean enough to be reproduced in all sizes and on a variety of promotional products. The client was presented with several initial ideas and through the process of elimination and feedback from the entire Edmonton branch, a new logo was born that appealed to everyone! Several promotional products and apparel items were chosen to launch the new logo and outfitting the client’s team at their upcoming AGM.

RESULTS:

The new logo for PIPSC Edmonton branch clearly shows off the beautiful Edmonton skyline and incorporates the blue circle logo emblem, which points out the association with PIPSC. All hard goods and clothing that were chosen for this project display the new logo beautifully and the client is really happy about the process as well as the logo and all their new swag!
