COMMUNICATIONS STRATEGIST

Jim is passionate about creating strategies that tell stories in a powerful and memorable way. His 23 years of communications and media experience covers a wide range of industries, including utilities, municipalities, transportation, and economic development.

Jim managed in-house corporate communications programs for three high-profile Alberta organizations: ATCO Electric, Edmonton International Airport (EIA), and Edmonton Economic Development Corporation (EEDC). As well, he was the day-to-day media spokesperson for EIA and EEDC, representing the organizations on myriad issues and positive news stories.

For the past 11 years, Jim has been consulting for corporate, government, and not-for-profit organizations across Alberta.

Jim’s extensive experience in communications planning, corporate communications, public and media relations, crisis communications, and issues management is backed by a B.A. in Communications Studies from the University of Calgary and a diploma in Communications Arts (Print Journalism) from Lethbridge College.
