There are many brands that are globally recognizable, and I don’t even have to name any for them to come to mind, and this is because of brand consistency.
But what is brand consistency and why is it important? Well, it’s making sure that your business’ messaging and visual branding are the same throughout all of your communication. Such as your logo, website, social media, and everything in between. Brand consistency allows your business to be immediately recognized and set your brand apart from its competitors. It also helps build trust and loyalty with your clientele. When your branding is continually changing it’s hard for consumers to follow and recognize.
And how do you achieve brand consistency? Start with creating a set of brand guidelines for anyone needing to refer to. Have your correct logo files available and empower your employees to become brand ambassadors! Having your employees familiar with the company’s logo ensures everyone is on the same page and that they can then communicate with accuracy and consistency with designers, promotional and digital marketers, or anyone in the print industry that works with your logo. You will also ensure that your brand is represented consistently on internal documents and external marketing communications, such as e-mails, proposals, or presentations.
